Modern Studies, unique to the Scottish curriculum, develops knowledge of social, political and economic issues in the UK and around the world. This allows pupils to better understand the world in which they live and equip them with useful skills for a life after school.
Modern Studies actively contributes to the development of pupils’ literacy, numeracy, health and wellbeing and digital competence.
